Healthier Alternatives- "Buy this, not that..."

Why: Presenters will define “sitting disease,” and discuss the potential risks of a sedentary lifestyle, the benefits of being physically active, how to move more during the day and where to find additional resources.
Although it’s likely not intentional, loved ones who thwart our efforts to be healthy are challenges to confront. Consider talking with the person directly. It’s probable that the person isn’t aware that his or her actions are making it more difficult for you. Let them know, nicely, that you don’t view their behavior as supportive and that you need and want their support. Give some examples of ways they can be supportive. Habits of any kind are difficult to break and build, so offer to remind them when their actions aren’t supportive. You’ll be glad you did.
